Hugh Montgomery is Professor of Intensive Care Medicine at University College London (UCL), and a consultant in Intensive Care at the Whittington Hospital in North London, UK. With a BSc in Cardiorespiratory physiology, he graduated as a doctor in 1987. His research interests have focussed on hypoxic adaptation and on muscle wasting in Intensive Care Unit (ICU). For 5 years, he consulted for Google Deepmind on artificial intelligence in healthcare. He has published >480 scientific papers and articles.
