VITAL members presented at ATH2020 online conference

The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) organized an online Appropriate Healthcare Technologies (AHT) Webinar “How appropriate healthcare technologies contribute in a public health emergency” (AHT2020) in September 2020. This is an international conference with an aim of bringing together those who are motivated to improve the healthcare of those living in low resource settings and who enjoy sharing their projects and collaborating with others, including: engineers and technologists, clinicians, healthcare staff, NGOs, Ministries of Health, WHO, etc.

Dr Linsdsay Keir, Innovation partner at Wellcome Trust and VITAL advisor, presented about the flagship portfolio on Innovation Impact in low middle income countries.

On behalf of VITAL consortium, Dr. Damien Ming, clinical research fellow at Imperial College London gave a short talk about Intelligent technologies to support clinical management of dengue within low and middle-income country settings. Dr. Heloise Greeff, postdoctoral researcher at Computational Health Informatics Laboratory of University of Oxford presented about Artificial Intelligence and Wearable Sensors to manage infectious disease.
