Critical Care Asia Network meeting in Vietnam

VITAL team, Oxford University Clinical Research Unit (OUCRU) cooperated with Mahidol Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit (MORU) to set up the Critical Care Asia Network in Vietnam since early 2020, aiming to improve care for critically ill patients using a model of registry implementation, data driven evaluation of routine care, and improvement through implementation science and research. Many organizations have participated into the network including National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Trung Vuong hospital, University Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Thap general hospital. CCA network in Vietnam has organized an annual meeting on 24th – 26th May 2020 in Long Hai, Ba Ria Vung Tau which gathered all participating sites in Vietnam to share the advantages and disadvantages in data collection and data protection, discuss how to implement the quality improvement in Intensive care unit, and make plan for developing the project in the coming years. The meeting was a successful event to form new research ideas, strengthen the existing partnership to facilitate more collaborative projects between sites in the future.
